What Can You Do?

League bullfighting campaignYou can support the League Against Cruel Sports' Bullfighting campaign in a number of ways.

  • Tell the European Union to Stop the Subsidies to farms which breed bulls for bullfights and other cruel fiesta events. Send an email today.
  • Sign our petition to end the suffering of bulls in Nimes. If you have lots of friends who you think would want to sign, you can download the petition and pass it round.
  • Email Tim Parker, the CEO of luggage company Samsonite, and ask him to stop glorifying bullfighting in advertisements.
  • Sign our Worldwide Anti-Bullfighting Pledge: Boycott bullfights and all festivals involving bull running, and ask your friends and family to do the same.
  • Boycott travel agents, tour operators, hotels, restaurants and companies that promote bullfighting, letting them know why you are doing so.
  • Write to the Spanish, French and Portuguese tourist boards, telling them that, as a British tourist, you will be boycotting towns and cities that have permanent bullrings and are call on them to shun this bloodsport once and for all (see attached Word document for suggested wording).
  • Contact the League with information on towns or cities that have permanent, active bullrings or to tell us about travel agencies and other businesses promoting bullfighting in the UK.
  • Register your support and we will keep you up-to-date with our campaigns and invite you to take action and get involved. The more supporters we have, the more we can bring about change to improve animals’ lives.
  • Make a donation to our campaign. The League receives no Government or National Lottery funding and relies on the generosity of our supporters. Every pound helps fund our campaigning and investigative work.
